We are so happy to have a pediatric dentist join Chappaqua Smiles! Having a pediatric dentist available means that now my family and I can all be seen under the same roof, which is incredibly convenient. The care by Dr. Stephanie has been professional, welcoming, and thorough, and it’s wonderful to have someone we trust taking care of our children as well.

Another great visit to Chappaqua Smiles with Dr. Stephanie! My daughter needed a tooth out because the other was coming in behind it and the experience couldn’t have been easier. My kids don’t mind going to the dentist now!

My kids were seen by Dr. Gomez yesterday and they loved their 1st visit. Dr. was nice & took the time to make sure the kids were comfortable before starting their cleaning. Definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a new Pediatric Dentist for their children's needs.

Infants through teens. First checkups from the first tooth.

Most major plans accepted. We check your benefits before you come in.

One roof for the family. Book siblings and parents the same morning.

Our practice

Kids are not small adults, so we don’t treat them like it.

Chappaqua Smiles has cared for Westchester families since 2006 — family-run, doctor-owned, and never corporate. Chappaqua Little Smiles carries that forward with a space, a pace, and a team dedicated to children.

That means appointments with room to breathe, tools sized for small mouths, and every step explained to your child before it happens. Nothing is a surprise.

MEET YOUR PEDIATRIC DENTIST

Dr. Stephanie Gomez, DMD

“What sets Dr. Gomez apart is her genuine gift for connecting with children. She’s calming, patient, and has a way of turning dental visits into something kids look forward to rather than dread.”

Born and raised in the Bronx, Dr. Gomez earned her dental degree at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and completed her residency at NYU Winthrop before specialized pediatric training at St. Barnabas Hospital, where she also trained fellow dentists.

THE FIRST VISIT

Here’s exactly what happens.

Tell your child what to expect — it’s the single best thing you can do before an appointment. Read this together on the way in.

01

Say hello

We meet your child at their level, show them the room, and let them hold the mirror before anything else.

02

Tell, show, do

Every instrument gets named and demonstrated on a finger or a puppet first. No surprises.

03

Gentle cleaning

A polish, a fluoride rinse if genuinely needed, and an x-ray only if we need one. Parents stay in the room.

04

Plain answers

Dr. Gomez walks you through what she saw, what to watch, and what it costs — before you leave.

CARE BY AGE

What your child needs changes. So does the visit.

FOR PARENTS

Questions we hear every week.

Still unsure about something? Call the front desk at 914-238-0202 — a person answers.

When should my child first see a dentist?

By the first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth coming in. Early visits are short, mostly conversation, and they set the tone for every visit after.

Can I stay in the room with my child?

Yes, always, for any appointment, any age.

Do you take my insurance?

We’re in-network with most major plans and verify your benefits before your visit, so there are no surprise bills.

What if my child is scared of the dentist?

That’s most of our patients. We slow down, narrate everything, and can split a visit into two if that’s what it takes.

Can my kids and I be seen the same day?

Yes — book siblings back to back, or a parent at Chappaqua Smiles next door, in one call.
